Is the resort lodging available this winter?
Can I book a reservation now for the winter and beyond?
Yes, please do! You are welcome to plan your vacation with us either online or call us at 800-748-0245.
We are following the guidance of the CDC, the Michigan Department of Environment Great Lakes and Energy and the local health department.
What will happen if Trout Creek does not open as planned?
If we are forced to extend our reopening dates, you will be notified by email, your reservation will be refunded in full, and you will receive a confirmation of cancellation.
What steps are being taken to ensure your staff is healthy?
We have implemented a daily health screening for all staff members as they report to work. If a staff member does not pass the screening, are feeling ill or caring for an ill family member they will be sent home. We are continuing training on COVID-19 awareness and also advising of proper health etiquette, including limiting contact with eyes, nose, and mouth, and hand hygiene. In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with the simple act of proper hand hygiene. We are enforcing frequent hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are unavailable, and providing frequent breaks to wash stations and increased access to hand sanitizing stations.
Will Trout Creek staff be required to wear a face mask?
Buildings and grounds maintenance staff typically work individually or in small groups outside. As long as they maintain 6-foot social distancing requirements they are not required to wear masks. If they are working in close proximity with others inside condo units or offices, then masks are required. Housekeeping staff are limited to one or two in a unit at one time, and they work in separate rooms, again maintaining the 6-foot social distancing requirements. Staff at the Front Desk wear masks while working with owners and guests, and a large Plexiglass “sneeze guard” is in place. All staff at Trout Creek have been provided face masks and gloves, but are only required to use them as noted above.
What measures are being taken to sanitize the condos?
The housekeeping staff will sanitize all hard surfaces with hospital grade disinfectants including light switches and remote controls . We use soft surface disinfectant for all furniture including sofas, upholstered chairs, blankets and comforters/bedspreads.
Will you be required to wear a mask while at Trout Creek?
We encourage our owners and guests to wear a mask outside on the resort property if they cannot maintain the 6 foot social distancing requirements. Wearing a mask properly is required for anyone entering the lobby, the front desk area and the bathrooms of the conference center.
Is social distancing going to be implemented?
We are implementing social distancing in all public areas and anywhere that lines form including during the check-in process.
