chestnut valley Golf Course
located behind Trout Creek, Chestnut Valley Golf Course is just a 4.5 mile drive from Trout Creek. This picturesque championship course opened in 1994 and is a good test and great fun for players of all skill levels. There is also a bonus 19th hole if you haven’t had enough after 18.
After your round be sure to check out the clubhouse, bar and Pro Shop. Chestnut offers a great bar and grill menu at a good value. Sometimes smaller is nicer and Chestnut Valley is one of those places.
A bit of trivia: Chestnut Valley is actually named after the American Chestnut Tree. The tree is one of the only ones remaining in the country. Sadly, as of 2019, only the stump remained between the 10th and 11th holes. But to honor its long standing symbolism, the tree trunk was carved into a beautiful statue. The tree was thought to be around 125 years old when it transformed.
