Trout Creek is centrally located between Harbor Springs, Petoskey & Mackinaw City. Trout Creek is only a 30 minute drive to the Mackinac Bridge. There are several wonderful day trip for you to check out while you visit this spring and summer.

  1. Mackinac Island, Mackinac Bridge and Mackinaw City – All the Mackinac’s –  The Bridge will take you to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with a load of sites to see. Tahquamenon Falls, the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie with all of the freighters and the beach drive along US 2.
  2. The Inland Waterway – Rent jet skis or a ski boat from the Windjammer or Ryde Marina on Crooked Lake. Spend the day swimming, fishing, and going thru the locks to get from Crooked River to Burt Lake. Then up that river to Mullett Lake. If you love to swim, play at the sandbar and explore the lakes and rivers, this is the way to do it. 
  3. Biking – Bring your bikes or rent them to head out on the many bike paths. Little Traverse Wheelway which runs from Harbor Springs – Petoskey – Charlevoix all along the Lake Michigan. Also the North Western State Trail from M-119 in Petoskey to Mackinaw City. Stop along the way for an ice cream cone or lunch or rock hunting.
  4. Sturgeon River at Big Bear Adventures – So much fun to travel down the river in a raft, kayak or canoe! You may see nature, birds and just have a good time 🙂
