The leaves sure took their time to change color but when they did…wow! There were so many reds and golds – the colors finally popped about 1 to 2 weeks ago.

Did you get a chance to visit Trout Creek during this beautiful season? The Harbor Springs and Petoskey area is such a magical place to be. Actually it is pretty magical any time during the year but fall is just special.

There is so much to do in northern Michigan in the fall. It is a quieter time of year but there are still lots of activities to check out. The crisp air, the smell of a fire in your fireplace or maybe a wine tasting at one of the local wineries  – if wine isn’t your thing, we certainly have several breweries and tap rooms to check out.

The season is also peppered with fun events and festivals around town. Hops n’ Highlands at Boyne Highlands was great as always – we had fun tasting different craft brews from all over the state while being outside visiting with friends.

Well soon we will be hunkering down for the first snowfall so stay tuned!
