Hiking Trails in Petoskey and Harbor Springs
Bay View Association Trails, Petoskey – Bike and cross-country ski through this Historic Community. Four miles of hiking/walking trails through woods and marsh.
Bear River Valley Recreation Area & Walkway – Along the Bear River from S. Lake Street to Standish Avenue in Petoskey. This 36-acre, 1.5 mile area runs along and crosses the Bear River. Offering both unpaved trails for hikes as well as a concrete trail for biking and walking, there is also a footbridge crossing the river. Check out White Water Rafting while you are there. Picnic areas and restrooms available.
Little Traverse Wheelway, Petoskey – 26 mile, non-motorized path along Little Traverse Bay from Harbor Springs to Petoskey to Charlevoix. Stop and look for Petoskey Stones, have a picnic, play on the playground and enjoy the scenery.
North Country Trail – The North Country Trail spans 7 states and runs through Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Hop on the trail for this adventure from the Trout Creek trails.
