Written by a Trout Creek Condo Owner –

Mark and I have been coming to Trout Creek for 15 years after it was recommended to us by a friend as a good place to stay for a winter ski vacation. Our kids learned to ski at Nubs Nob, next to Trout Creek. The convenience to that ski area, along with the on-site amenities, reasonable rates and proximity to Boyne Highlands, Petoskey and Harbor Springs, kept us coming back.

From the first time we stayed at Trout Creek, it always felt like home to us. The units are always comfortable, clean and in great shape. The staff is always friendly, accessible and always so helpful. We liked it so well we started coming up during the summer as well. There is so much to do – 3 pools, a variety of outdoor recreation options, including fishing in the stocked ponds, a close proximity to Petoskey State Park (a 7 minute drive) and the Mackinac Bridge (a 30 minute drive) – What’s not to love?

Eventually we began to look for a 2nd home to buy Up North. With a realtor helping us out, we looked at various homes and condos in a variety of places including Trout Creek. We realized through this process that Trout Creek had become the standard to which we compared everything else; nothing else seemed to quite measure up.

In the winter of 2017, we rented a condo (again!) for a quick February ski weekend. As usual, we loved the way it was decorated, the homey and cozy feel to the unit, the amenities, the staff who always made us feel like family…and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the condo we were staying in had just been listed for sale 2 days earlier! Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity.

Buying our condo at Trout Creek has been one of the best decisions we have ever made; we love it.

We’re here at least once a month through all four seasons and are enjoying getting to know the area better as true “regulars” now. Our kids are grown now and still enjoy coming here for both summer and winter recreation.

We cannot say enough good things about Trout Creek, its amazing staff who have become friends and who graciously handle anything we throw their way and the pleasure of being an owner in this beautiful part of the state 🙂
