As we approach summer in northern Michigan 2020, you’ll notice that some changes have been made at both the Trout Creek facilities as well as at local restaurants, activities and shops. But we are finding that although some things have been altered in one way or another, there are many activities that maybe you haven’t tried or thought about on your vacations to the Harbor Springs – Petoskey area.

Have you explored any of the 40 nature preserves in northern Michigan? They are beautiful and alive with so many types of birds, frogs and creeks. If the last few months have taught us anything…it is to slow down, pause…take in the sights and beauty around you. Check out our new Nature Preserve page.

For those that love to golf, if you haven’t already heard…Little Traverse Bay Golf Club has been sold. But it is going to be another wonderful nature preserve. The Little Traverse Conservancy has purchased the 290 acres with grants from the the Offield Family Foundation as well as the LTC membership. This is very exciting news and you can read more about it here

Trout Creek has its own nature/hiking trails right on-site! All sorts of little waterfalls, bridges and birds of course. Pick up a trail map at the front desk or print one off.

Miles of beautiful bike paths, sandy beaches, Petoskey Stone hunting and simply relaxing by Little Traverse Bay with a good book while listening to the waves or take in a million dollar sunset.

We know that many events have been cancelled this summer in the area to keep everyone safe but there are still so many things to do Up North. We have missed you and can’t wait to see you!
